Services
The United Nations will be responsible for simultaneous
interpretation and for off-site translation during the Conference.
Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in the
following venues in the six official languages of the United Nations (Arabic, English,
French, Chinese, Russian and Spanish):
- Plenary Hall
- Main Committee Room
- Drafting Committee Room
In the NGO Room there will be simultaneous interpretation
in English, French and Spanish.
The Press Briefing Room will make provision for
simultaneous interpretation in English and French.
Liaison interpreters will be on standby at the following
information points:
- Durban International Airport
- Accreditation at the Durban Exhibition Centre (DEC)
- Information desk in the Durban International Conference
Centre (ICC)
